🔹Science Centre Visit – Naari
By Dhruvika
As part of our educational exposure outside the classroom, we visited the Science Centre at Naari. This visit turned out to be both educational and enjoyable, as it provided us with an opportunity to learn science through observation and interaction. The centre offered practical demonstrations, working models, and informative displays that made scientific concepts clearer and more interesting than textbook learning. During our visit, we explored five major galleries, each representing a different field of science.
1. Aquatic and Marine Gallery
The Aquatic and Marine Gallery gave us insight into the underwater world and aquatic ecosystems. It showcased various models and exhibits related to oceans, rivers, and marine life. We learned about different aquatic organisms, marine plants, and the food chain that maintains balance in water ecosystems. The gallery also raised awareness about marine pollution and the importance of conserving water resources. This section helped us understand the vital role aquatic life plays in sustaining the environment.
2. Electro Mechanics Gallery
The Electro Mechanics Gallery explained the connection between electricity and mechanical systems. Through interactive models and demonstrations, we learned how machines operate using electric power and mechanical motion. Concepts such as electric circuits, motors, generators, and energy transformation were explained in a simple and practical way. This gallery made complex theories easier to grasp and showed how these principles are applied in everyday technology.
3. Nobel Prize Gallery
The Nobel Prize Gallery was highly motivating and informative. It presented information about Nobel laureates from various disciplines like Science, Literature, Medicine, and Peace. The gallery highlighted their inventions, discoveries, and contributions to society. Learning about these great personalities inspired us to appreciate the value of hard work, innovation, and scientific research. It showed how one idea or discovery can have a global impact.
4. Automobile Gallery
The Automobile Gallery focused on the science and development of vehicles. It explained the working of engines, braking systems, fuel usage, and the principles of motion involved in automobiles. The gallery also discussed modern advancements such as electric vehicles and environmentally friendly transportation. This section helped us understand how science and engineering are used to improve transportation systems.
5. Biology Science Gallery
The Biology Science Gallery dealt with the study of living organisms. It displayed models related to the human body, plants, animals, and microscopic organisms. We learned about important biological processes like digestion, respiration, blood circulation, and reproduction. The visual representations made it easier to understand the structure and functions of organs and cells, enhancing our knowledge of life sciences.
